You are starting the test, you are entering the heart of the matter! To help you answer the questions, you can bring along your plans, work estimates or supply lists. The Bat'impact® questionnaire is "customized", meaning that it contains only questions related to the project you have previously configured.
☝ Please note. The time required to answer the questions on the form varies greatly. It depends on the scope of your project and the time needed to find the answers to the questions on the documents: plans, work estimates, etc.
A section of the questionnaire by domain
For each area, a screen appears with the name of the area and the number of questions in that area. This screen shows you how to move from one section to another, for example from "Procurement" to "Waste Management".
At this stage you can:
Answer the questions in the domain by clicking on the "answer questions" button
"Skip" the entire batch of questions related to this area. by clicking on "answer later"
Return to the previous area by clicking on "Return to previous questions".
😉 Don't forget to answer! It is therefore possible to "skip" a whole section of questions. However, it is best to provide answers to all questions on the test in order to get the most accurate and realistic Bat Impact® score possible.
Types of questions in the Bat Impact® test
You will go through a series of questions corresponding to the spaces, areas of intervention and equipment you selected during the configuration of your project. There are 3 types of questions:
The multiple choice question: when you click on the drop-down menu, several answers appear (types of materials, distance elements, etc.)
The closed yes or no question.
The question about quantity data: you will be asked to fill in quantities concerning m2, mm, cm. (image below)
Answer a question
This is the most important part! To help you answer the questions, **** you can bring your plans, work specifications or supply lists, most of the answers are there. Do not hesitate to ask your contractors or MOA when an answer is missing in your documents. It is also common to find answers on the technical data sheets on the manufacturers' websites.
You can select the answer that corresponds to your project by clicking on the "select" field to open the possible answers.
Each answer proposal has a colored indicator of the environmental score.
When you select your answer, the overall Bat Impact® score is updated.
🏡 Answers are ranked hierarchically. For example: a gypsum board partition is rated lower than a wood panel partition. This tells you in each question which materials have the least environmental impact.
Answer "I don't know"
If you do not have an answer to a question, it is possible to "skip" to the next question by selecting the "I don't know" answer. This will not affect the project score.
☝ Good to know! It is possible to "skip" a question... However, it is preferable to answer all questions in order to obtain the most accurate and realistic Bat Impact® score possible.
Moving through the questions
On each question is indicated the name of the parent domain of the question, the question itself and a "select" field allowing you to display the possible answers when you click on it. It is possible to "navigate" through the questions:
The arrows at the bottom right of the question allow you to move forward in the questionnaire or return to the previous question.
A progress indicator shows the number of questions passed and the total number of questions remaining in the questionnaire.
👉 Important! It is mandatory to answer the question to move to the next one.
Add or remove an item from the questionnaire
As you go through your documents (plans, specifications, etc.) looking for answers to the questions in the Bat Impact® test, you will likely find new elements to add to the project. It is possible to add them directly at the end of the section of the form (without returning to the project definition page). To do so, proceed as in the video example below:
Answer the last question about an item (equipment or covering) for example a toilet.
The questionnaire asks if you want to add a new occurrence of this element, for example a 2nd toilet.
Click "Yes" to add the new occurrence of the item. New questions appear with a green indicator showing the name of the new item. In the example below "2nd toilet".
You can now answer the questions about the new item.
To delete an item from the questionnaire, simply click on the "Delete this [item]" button.
