Testing a project with Carbon Saver

To obtain the Bat'impact® environmental score for your interior design project and improve your eco-design practices with tailored advice, it's very simple. You just have to create a new project on the Carbon Saver mobile site, define what it is composed of and answer the customized questionnaire. At the end of the questionnaire you will get a detailed report of your project.

Start a new Bat Impact® test

If you are preparing to test your architecture project for the first time, your user space is empty. To create a new project, simply :

  1. Login to the mobile site app.carbon-saver.com to go to the user area home page.
  2. Click on "Start a Bat Impact® Test" to create a project.
  3. Go directly to the "Name the project" step

Continue or update a current Bat Impact® test

You can find and complete your Bat'impact® test at any time in your user space. This way, you can update your score throughout the duration of your project, for example by indicating new data in your possession.

👉 Good to know: Projects and the changes you make to them are automatically saved on the mobile site. You will find your project as you left it the next time you log in.

  1. Login to the mobile site app.carbon-saver.com to go to the user area home page.
  2. Click on the project of your choice in the project section.
  3. You are redirected to the project definition
  4. You can change your answers and get the new scores.
  5. Your detailed report will be updated as many times as you wish.

⏳ In order to provide you with a better user experience, we are moving as quickly as possible to implement the following features to our mobile site:

  • Recording of several Bat Impact® tests (multi-project).
  • Find the tests in the user space, project section.
  • Modification of answers by "batches" directly in the detailed report.
  • History of the modifications of a test.

Launch one or more other Bat Impact® tests (multi-project)

As each of your projects is unique... you will get new personalized advice to improve your eco-design practices. Previous projects are kept in your user space.

  1. Login to the mobile site app.carbon-saver.com to go to the user area home page.
  2. Click on "+ Create Project" to create a new project.
  3. The mobile site creates a new project without modifying the other projects.

Name or rename the project

The project name is to be filled in on the project definition page. It is mandatory if you create a new project. Otherwise, to modify the name of a project, you can :

  1. Select the project to be renamed on the home page of the user area.
  2. Go to the project definition page using the "Configure Project" button in the top banner or via the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the "Configure Project" tab
  3. You can change the name in the "Project name" field at the top of the page.
  4. Click on "Validate and continue" to save the name.

Define the project universe.

Select the category that best fits this project from the suggestions.

👉 Good to know: currently only the category "Individual housing" is available, but our engineers and developers are working hard to offer you new categories soon, such as office design or collective housing...

Selecting the intervention areas

When you select a space, the mobile site pre-selects areas of intervention and equipment related to this space. Of course you can deselect these proposals and select others at your convenience.

  1. Go to the Project Definition page using the drop-down menu at the top right, "Configure Project" tab
  2. Select the spaces in which there is an intervention during this project.
  3. Carbon Saver offers areas of intervention and equipment related to the selected spaces.

Select areas of intervention

When you have selected one or more spaces in the intervention spaces section of the "project definition" page, Carbon Saver has pre-selected intervention areas and equipment related to that space. You can deselect these suggestions and select others that better fit your project:

  1. Go to the project definition page using the drop-down menu at the top right, "Configure Project" tab.
  2. In the "Areas of intervention" section, the selected areas are displayed with a green background. You can deselect them by clicking on them. They are displayed on a grey background when deselected.
  3. Select only those areas in which there is an intervention during this project.

Good to know: It is possible to add quantities for equipment later in the Bat Impact® test course, at the time of the answers or at the very end of the test in the detailed report...

Select installed items

When you selected spaces and/or areas of focus on the "Project Definition" page, Carbon Saver pre-selected equipment related to your choices. You can deselect these equipments and select others that correspond precisely to your project:

  1. Go to the project definition page using the drop-down menu at the top right, "Configure Project" tab.
  2. In the "Quantity of installed or reused items" section, the selected equipment is displayed with a green background. You can deselect them by clicking on them. Once deselected, they are displayed on a grey background.
  3. Indicate only the equipment that will be replaced, installed or reused during this project.
  4. You can add a quantity on some equipment.

Validate and obtain the customized questionnaire

In the previous steps you have configured your project by selecting the spaces and areas of intervention as well as the equipment on which there is an intervention during the project. Congratulations! You will now be able to answer the customized Bat'impact® questionnaire and obtain the environmental score of this project.

  1. To access the questionnaire click on "Validate and continue" at the bottom of the page.
  2. You are redirected to the Bat'Impact® test start page

👌 Good to know: It is possible to return to the project definition page and modify the selected fields at any time using the drop-down menu at the top right, "Modify Project" tab.
